Responsibilities
- Scope, design, and implement machine learning and deep learning models for Health and Fitness algorithms.
- Develop multimodal sensor-fusion algorithms for human movement, ambient sensing, and related Apple product features.
- Validate algorithms using synthetic data flows and real datasets with generative AI.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, QA, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams throughout the software lifecycle.
- Deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality systems that support features used by millions of customers.
Requirements
- Master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in a quantitative data science discipline such as statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or computer science.
- Strong background developing machine learning and/or deep learning models, preferably with time series data.
- Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Preferred: PhD or 5+ years of experience in a quantitative data science discipline.
- Ability to formulate hypotheses and apply statistical approaches to evaluate data.
- Understanding of the computational and storage complexities of large datasets and experience leveraging distributed compute and storage models.
- Commitment to rigorous validation of tooling and data pipelines, effective communication, and incorporating feedback.
