Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services with Java/Spring Boot and Python.
- Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and data access layers using Hibernate, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Develop responsive frontends with Angular.
- Integrate AI and machine learning services from AWS and third-party providers into production applications.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and support debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
- Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes.
- Deploy and maintain applications across AWS and GCP.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, technical discussions, mentoring, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java and/or Python expertise.
- Proven experience delivering production-grade enterprise applications from design through deployment.
- Deep knowledge of the Spring framework and Hibernate ORM.
- Strong SQL and relational database design skills with PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
- Experience with RESTful API design, microservices, AWS or GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or Jenkins and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, testing, Git, and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience integrating AI/ML services or working with Angular is a bonus.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate effectively in collaborative environments.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
