Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain core MTS payment platform capabilities.
  • Deliver customer and regulatory commitments, including payment network mandates.
  • Participate in production issue resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Support 64-bit migration, ISO 20022, structured address, security, and other platform modernization programs.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Professional Services, Quality Engineering, and Customer Support.
  • Mentor technical teams and support knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Improve engineering automation, testing, observability, and software quality.
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

  • At least 9 years of software development experience.
  • Strong Java and enterprise application development experience.
  • Strong COBOL and enterprise application development experience.
  • Experience with large-scale transaction processing platforms and complex production debugging.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and database technologies.
  • Experience with secure software development practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: payments experience with Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, or ISO 20022.
  • Preferred: experience supporting Tier-1 financial institutions, cloud migration and modernization initiatives, and high-availability mission-critical systems.
  • Preferred: experience with AI engineering tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or equivalent.
