Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core MTS payment platform capabilities.
- Deliver customer and regulatory commitments, including payment network mandates.
- Participate in production issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Support 64-bit migration, ISO 20022, structured address, security, and other platform modernization programs.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Professional Services, Quality Engineering, and Customer Support.
- Mentor technical teams and support knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Improve engineering automation, testing, observability, and software quality.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of software development experience.
- Strong Java and enterprise application development experience.
- Strong COBOL and enterprise application development experience.
- Experience with large-scale transaction processing platforms and complex production debugging.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and database technologies.
- Experience with secure software development practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: payments experience with Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, or ISO 20022.
- Preferred: experience supporting Tier-1 financial institutions, cloud migration and modernization initiatives, and high-availability mission-critical systems.
- Preferred: experience with AI engineering tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or equivalent.
