Responsibilities
- Drive technical direction and engineering excellence across multiple teams.
- Build, scale, deploy, and optimize reliable backend services used by millions of customers.
- Design and operate cloud-based systems using AWS, containerization, orchestration, databases, observability, and infrastructure as code.
- Mentor engineers and elevate team capabilities through strong technical leadership.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
- Monitor system performance and reliability at scale.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
- Deep experience with cloud platforms and services, including architecture, deployment, and optimization.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise with Postgres, Redis, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and performance optimization at scale.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical topics to varied stakeholders.
- Strong mentorship skills.
- Experience with GitHub, Terraform, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure as code.
- Preferred: strong experience with Golang, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Preferred: experience with high-scale distributed systems, IoT or connected devices, distributed actor-based systems or libraries such as Dapr and Akka, and real-time data processing.
