Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build and deliver fraud-servicing solutions using Vue.js, Node.js, Fastify, Python, AWS, and related cloud technologies.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and enhance system performance through targeted refactoring.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding in more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred experience includes database systems, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, observability-driven performance optimization, AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, cross-functional engineering leadership, and establishing coding standards and design patterns.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
