Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded Linux base software for automotive platforms using Qualcomm, NXP, TI, and Renesas hardware.
- Architect system platforms and develop bootloaders, kernels, device drivers, BSPs, and kernel configurations.
- Manage Yocto-based Linux distributions and custom build environments.
- Integrate software with hardware, middleware, and application teams across infotainment, ADAS, and vehicle control systems.
- Drive compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO 21434 cybersecurity standards.
- Optimize system performance, boot time, and resource utilization.
- Support secure boot, OTA update mechanisms, diagnostics, testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers, silicon vendors, and OEMs to align platform requirements.
- Own the base software roadmap and contribute to platform strategy.
- Mentor and guide embedded Linux engineers across multiple vehicle programs.
Requirements
- Minimum 7.5 years of professional experience is required.
- 12+ years of overall experience in the infotainment domain with Android development experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics, or a related field, with 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong embedded Linux development experience, including Yocto or Buildroot.
- Expertise in kernel development, device drivers, and low-level debugging.
- Experience with automotive hardware platforms including ARM, x86, and RISC-V.
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet automotive communication protocols.
- Knowledge of secure boot, OTA updates, system diagnostics, and hypervisor-based architectures.
- Proficiency in Embedded C and C++.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of infotainment systems and cloud platforms.
