Base Salary
$127k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead AI red-team operations against foundation and custom models, model deployment environments, training and inference pipelines, and data controls.
- Design and execute threat emulation involving prompt injection, data poisoning, model inversion, jailbreaks, supply-chain risks, and other emerging attack techniques.
- Develop custom AI red-team tooling, frameworks, automation, proof-of-concept exploits, and repeatable testing methodologies.
- Research AI attack techniques, model vulnerabilities, defensive gaps, and methods for bypassing security controls.
- Partner with detection, engineering, and governance teams on purple-team exercises, control validation, standards, testing guidance, and program strategy.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to red-team engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience.
- Thorough understanding of applicable information security systems, policies, and procedures.
- Effective communication, presentation, leadership, problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Preferred experience testing or securing AI/ML systems, including LLMs or other model classes.
- Preferred knowledge of AI threat models and attacks such as prompt injection, model extraction, training-data poisoning, inference abuse, and hallucination exploitation.
- Preferred significant red-team experience with adversary emulation, multistage attack chains, proof-of-concept exploits, and custom offensive tooling.
- Preferred expertise bypassing endpoint and AI-adjacent controls, including EDR/XDR, API protections, and guardrails.
- Preferred experience with cloud, containerized, and AI-hosting environments.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, PowerShell, Go, C, C++, or Shell is preferred.
