Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for global network infrastructure automation, configuration management, and operational tooling.
- Build distributed services managing network device state, topology, and telemetry at scale.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms for large-scale network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with network engineers and cross-functional partners to translate requirements into reliable software solutions.
- Drive architecture decisions for network automation systems and evaluate reliability, performance, and operational trade-offs.
- Implement A/B testing and staged rollout frameworks for network configuration changes.
- Establish service level objectives, dashboards, and runbooks to support incident response.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in network control plane and data pipeline systems.
- Mentor engineers, review designs, and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Lead network incident retrospectives and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience focused on network infrastructure, distributed systems, or network automation.
- At least 6 years of production programming experience with C, C++, or Go.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems or network management platforms.
- Experience with BGP, OSPF, ECMP, switching, routing, or traffic engineering.
- Experience building observability systems with metrics collection, alerting, and dashboards for large-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience with SDN, network operating systems, OpenConfig, or gNMI.
- Preferred experience with stream processing or time-series data pipelines for high-volume network telemetry.
- Preferred experience with on-call rotations for critical network infrastructure services.
- Preferred experience developing network automation frameworks for configuration management, topology discovery, or change validation.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $154,003/year to $217,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
