Responsibilities
- Assist in executing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) tests and flight tests.
- Collaborate with engineers to build and refine automated testing pipelines.
- Design and improve tools for stress-testing the system.
- Analyze and troubleshoot hardware and software issues during testing.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to design and execute validation plans.
- Develop and enhance scripts and tools for automated testing workflows.
- Gain insights into ensuring reliability and quality in safety-critical systems.
Requirements
- Must have completed the second year of undergraduate studies; Master's and PhD students are eligible.
- Strong understanding of engineering design fundamentals.
- Experience writing Rust or Python scripts for automation.
- Hands-on experience writing Python tests using tools like Pytest or Unittest.
- Familiarity with creating and executing test plans for software or hardware.
- A hands-on approach to problem-solving and debugging.
- General understanding of electrical systems such as motors and sensors.
- Experience working in a Linux environment and using command-line tools.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and task tracking with Jira.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts like RPC or sockets.
- Experience with CI tools like GitHub Actions or Buildkite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
