Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive end-to-end architecture for modernizing a remote sensing analysis platform.
- Design scalable, containerized, cloud-ready systems and automated CI/CD deployment strategies.
- Lead development of standalone and cloud-deployable applications.
- Architect PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch data solutions for relational data, search, and analytics.
- Guide engineering teams on design, implementation, architecture standards, and best practices.
- Ensure systems meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience leading software engineering teams and defining architecture standards.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems into Python-based platforms.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Experience with React and Node.js for full-stack web applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with standalone and cloud-native applications, Python for scientific computing, modeling and simulation, algorithm-heavy systems, DevSecOps, observability, Infrastructure-as-Code, AI-augmented development workflows, or agentic tools.
- A master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
