Responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture for initiatives across supply chain, stores, merchandising, and digital platforms.
  • Create and maintain high-level designs, integration flows, sequence diagrams, data flows, non-functional requirements, deployment views, and architecture decision records.
  • Define target-state architectures and transition roadmaps aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Design cloud-first solutions using Azure and/or Google Cloud architecture practices.
  • Architect API-led, event-driven, streaming, and batch integrations.
  • Enable AI/ML lifecycle architecture, GenAI use cases, advanced decisioning, and responsible AI guardrails.
  • Promote domain-aligned data models, master and reference data, lineage, and privacy practices.
  • Lead architecture reviews and promote reusable reference architectures and patterns.
  • Partner with security and SRE teams to deliver secure-by-design and operationally ready solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and analysts and contribute to architecture and engineering communities of practice.
  • Advise product, engineering, and business leaders on solution options, trade-offs, risks, and architectural decisions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in solution or technical architecture roles.
  • Experience delivering solutions across retail platforms such as supply chain, stores, merchandising, and/or digital.
  • Strong experience with API-led and event-driven integration architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud, including networking, identity, and deployment models.
  • Strong understanding of security, resiliency, performance, and observability.
  • Preferred experience with OMS, POS, WMS/TMS, ERP, PIM, pricing engines, or promotion engines.
  • Preferred data platform and analytics architecture experience, including lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming patterns.
  • Preferred AI/ML or GenAI architecture experience, including deployment, monitoring, and responsible AI.
  • Preferred store edge computing or offline-first architecture experience.
  • Experience with C4, UML, sequence and data flows, and domain models.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
