Responsibilities
- Lead solution architecture, design standards, and development practices for Siemens Opcenter Execution across global manufacturing sites.
- Architect, implement, and support MES capabilities aligned with IT standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Use Opcenter Designer and Portal to create reusable and scalable MES solutions.
- Develop, integrate, and optimize MES capabilities using .NET, JavaScript, SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements, solution designs, and implementation specifications.
- Integrate MES with ERP and shop-floor control systems.
- Lead MES activities on global projects, managing timelines, system impacts, documentation, and communications.
- Partner with business leaders, manufacturing teams, and IT stakeholders to support operational excellence and digital transformation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Management, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of enterprise application development experience.
- Hands-on experience supporting IT systems in mission-critical, 24/7 manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of source code management, relational database design, application development practices, patterns, and architecture principles.
- Hands-on Siemens Opcenter Execution Designer and Portal experience is preferred.
- Experience with Angular or modern UI frameworks is preferred.
- Experience using AI tools or techniques such as copilots, code generation, automation, or predictive analytics is preferred.
- Knowledge of SDLC and modern DevOps practices and experience in Agile/Scrum environments are preferred.
- Strong leadership, systems thinking, project management, communication, facilitation, critical thinking, and architectural influence skills.
- Ability to work with global partners outside standard business hours when needed.
