Base Salary
$165k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with defense and security customers to understand mission needs and scope technical solutions.
- Design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models, Compute Modules, repositories, applications, and custom widgets.
- Integrate Dataminr’s real-time intelligence into customer workflows, common operating pictures, and command-and-control systems.
- Own solutions from initial design through deployment and make independent technical decisions with minimal supervision.
- Debug infrastructure, networking, and application layers across cloud, hybrid, restricted, disconnected, and on-premises environments.
- Act as a technical advisor to customer engineers and operators and communicate customer feedback to Dataminr’s product teams.
- Travel to customer sites and operations centers as needed, approximately 25–75% of the time.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems in a team setting.
- Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, and application development.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash, or Go.
- Comfort with containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Linux, and on-premises infrastructure.
- Active U.S. security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one, is required; Top Secret clearance is preferred.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences and willingness to travel 50–75% to secure customer sites.
- Experience in classified, air-gapped, or disconnected environments is preferred.
- Background in defense, intelligence, or national security operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with Esri, ArcGIS, or command-and-control systems is preferred.
- Front-end experience building operator-facing applications is preferred.
