Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Bring new AI models and model architectures to Maia.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across software, systems, and hardware layers.
- Improve performance, scalability, and serving capabilities for production AI workloads.
- Build automation, validation infrastructure, and engineering systems that accelerate model onboarding.
- Partner with model, runtime, infrastructure, and hardware teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Enable new hardware generations and make model onboarding faster, more repeatable, and less operationally intensive.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C++, Python, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of modern AI model architectures, inference systems, and performance characteristics is preferred.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks, runtimes, or serving stacks such as PyTorch, ONNX Runtime, vLLM, or TensorRT-LLM is preferred.
- Experience diagnosing complex issues across software, systems, and hardware layers is preferred.
- Familiarity with performance analysis, distributed systems, accelerator architectures, or large-scale production services is preferred.
- Experience enabling software on new hardware platforms or accelerators through bring-up, performance characterization, hardware-software debugging, or platform enablement is preferred.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or equivalent technologies is preferred.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year.
- A different base pay range applies to specific locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area: USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
