Responsibilities

  • Design and develop compliance-focused components within a multi-partner European research initiative.
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Apply knowledge graphs, ontologies, semantic data modelling, and policy-as-code to AI compliance and data governance.
  • Translate regulatory obligations into requirements for model transparency, data governance, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with international partners and contribute to shared technical deliverables.
  • Document and present complex regulatory and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks in a pragmatic and organized manner.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of knowledge graphs, ontologies, and semantic data modelling.
  • Understanding of the EU regulatory landscape, particularly the AI Act and GDPR.
  • Understanding of how regulatory obligations map to data governance, model transparency, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with or knowledge of policy-as-code frameworks such as Open Policy Agent and Rego.
  • Familiarity with trustworthy AI and data-sharing standards and frameworks, including ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, ENISA guidelines, and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Solid software development experience with Python or Java.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with EU data spaces or IDSA/GAIA-X standards is advantageous.
  • Exposure to federated learning or homomorphic encryption is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of verifiable credentials or blockchain-based audit trails is advantageous.
