Base Salary
$200k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize firmware for Lunar Energy hardware devices, including edge optimization.
- Design, code, and test high-performance subsystems for constrained hardware.
- Write firmware across the embedded stack, from bootloader to high-level application firmware.
- Develop platform firmware supporting flash file systems, communication stacks, and build tool management.
- Port and maintain the RTOS environment.
- Build component firmware that integrates with the broader Lunar system.
- Drive system architecture and design discussions to achieve product functionality.
- Collaborate on design and development and participate in code reviews.
- Support system testing, reliability, and manufacturing teams with specialized firmware features and debugging.
- Review performance data collected from internal and external test sites.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing and architecting software across the lifecycle from prototype to production.
- Experience developing in C for bare-metal systems and/or RTOS environments.
- Experience implementing power electronics firmware control functionality.
- Ability to integrate hardware and software into end-to-end solutions.
- Ability to contribute effectively in a small, fast-moving, multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with modern software engineering practices such as Git and continuous integration.
