Senior Security Engineer - Detection and Response
Mercado LibreResponsibilities
- Analyze, triage, and respond to security alerts generated by monitoring systems and external telemetry sources.
- Develop and maintain Python functionality for investigation workflow automation, system integrations, and technical performance improvements.
- Create and update procedure manuals and cyber-incident response guides.
- Coordinate escalation of critical incidents with internal cybersecurity teams and external providers according to established service levels.
- Identify malicious behavior patterns and propose detection improvements to reduce false positives and expand MITRE ATT&CK coverage.
Requirements
- Experience analyzing cybersecurity alerts in security operations centers or incident-response teams.
- Proficiency developing in Python for automation, system integrations, and internal detection tools.
- Knowledge of threat-detection frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, indicators of compromise, and cloud-security telemetry or event-correlation platforms.
- Knowledge of blockchain ecosystems, virtual wallets, and smart contracts for protecting financial products.
