Responsibilities
- Design and lead the development of scalable large language model architectures for evolving project requirements.
- Develop and operationalize AI and machine learning algorithms, models, computational systems, and production software.
- Build scalable data, MLOps, and LLMOps pipelines for model training and production deployment.
- Customize and apply deep learning, generative AI, and large language models for client business needs.
- Work with large-scale datasets and implement preprocessing, storage, retrieval, data quality, security, monitoring, alerting, auditing, and automated bug-filing processes.
- Conduct research and development involving AI, high-performance computing algorithms, models, simulations, and their business applications.
- Collaborate with business owners, users, engineers, architects, UI designers, and client teams to integrate solutions into production.
- Act as a subject matter expert, make team and cross-team technical decisions, provide solutions applicable across multiple teams, and mentor team members.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to integrate language models with existing data infrastructure.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience is required, including experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; a master's or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale.
- At least 5 years of experience applying computer science foundations including computer architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid or cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- At least 2 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with language model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Experience with AWS, machine learning, cloud data warehouses, data pipelines, neural network architectures, and natural language processing.
- Strong written and verbal communication, client-facing consulting, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
