Base Salary
$224k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical design of services and systems.
- Design, code, review, test, fix, research, deploy, and maintain services and code in AWS production environments.
- Lead large feature releases and initiatives that cross engineering team boundaries and departments.
- Prioritize work, navigate ambiguous problem domains, and deliver autonomously at a high standard.
- Influence coding practices and mentor engineering team members.
- Partner with Product, Finance, Compliance, and other stakeholders on technical approaches and product delivery.
- Maintain challenging, stable, high-quality, and maintainable software projects.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience developing production software for large-scale, consumer-facing mobile applications.
- Present or past experience at the Principal Engineer level or above.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience leading large feature releases involving multiple people and engineering teams across departments.
- Experience architecting scalable backend systems in Java, Go, or Ruby.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver products from infancy through maturation.
- Experience leading and mentoring team members.
- Experience maintaining high-quality, stable, and maintainable codebases while delivering challenging projects on schedule.
- Ability to collaborate and compromise to reach efficient technical outcomes.
- Familiarity with relational databases.
- Fintech experience is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fluid environment with high autonomy is preferred.
