Principal Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Responsibilities
- Deliver asynchronous backend services, APIs, and real-time data and event models using Tokio/Rust or similar technologies.
- Partner with React and front-end teams on shared components, state management, and system health visualizations.
- Turn algorithms and domain logic into well-tested, high-performance, observable production endpoints.
- Architect resilient systems that support intermittent connectivity, graceful degradation, security hardening, and offline scenarios.
- Improve CI/CD, performance testing, contract and property testing, instrumentation, and SLO/error-budget practices.
- Mentor peers, lead design narratives and code reviews, and incorporate product and field feedback into development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building customer-facing, production-grade software systems.
- Modern full-stack experience with React or equivalent front-end technologies and asynchronous backend services such as Tokio/Rust.
- Strong experience with modular architectures, documented API contracts, and robust service lifecycles.
- Experience designing software for field, defense, automotive, or similarly high-stakes and performance-critical deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Rust, and/or C/C++.
- Ability to collaborate with product, UX, and technical experts in cross-functional environments.
- Track record of mentoring peers and driving technical excellence without direct authority.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, and resilient system patterns.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
