Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, architecture, and delivery of native iOS and Android applications.
- Mentor mobile engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
- Implement scalable mobile solutions integrating with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Collaborate with firmware, cloud, and UX teams on cohesive product experiences.
- Own mobile CI/CD pipelines and reliable build, test, and release processes using Azure DevOps.
- Integrate on-device inference and cloud-based AI and machine learning capabilities into mobile applications.
- Define mobile architecture patterns and reusable component libraries.
- Publish and maintain applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Lead technical initiatives and communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of focused mobile application development experience.
- Expert-level iOS development experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Strong Android development experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Pipelines.
- Strong command of mobile CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and consumption plus WebSocket and MQTT communication.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Git-based version control and tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Preferred experience with Copilot, Claude CLI, agentic development, prompt engineering, LLM integration, or AI-assisted development workflows.
- Preferred experience building mobile SDKs or reusable libraries distributed through Swift Package Manager or Maven.
- Preferred familiarity with BLE, IoT device communication, HealthKit, HomeKit, mobile security practices, OAuth 2.0, XCTest, Espresso, or Appium.
- Previous experience in a technical lead or architecture role is preferred.
