Responsibilities
- Develop Golang-based southbound connectors for PLCs, industrial control systems, and IIoT devices.
- Implement error handling and fault-tolerance mechanisms for connectors operating in OT environments.
- Troubleshoot and optimize connector performance, reliability, and communication across industrial environments.
- Build testing, diagnostics, logging, and monitoring to identify and resolve communication issues.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, OT/Controls Engineers, and Software Engineers to deliver integration solutions.
- Contribute to open-source projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience developing software integrations, connectors, or drivers for PLCs and industrial control systems.
- Practical knowledge of industrial protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET.
- Strong proficiency in Golang.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, real-time communication, and industrial automation environments.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with C++ is preferred.
- Experience with MQTT, REST, SOAP, and other communication protocols is preferred.
