Base Salary
$120k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and automate customer systems and infrastructure within Nutanix and virtual machine environments.
- Provide development engineering, programming, software application, and infrastructure support.
- Manage and maintain application servers, networks, and development and test infrastructure.
- Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot application hosting services and system performance.
- Implement automation, backup, disaster recovery, redundancy, and data-protection practices.
- Analyze user needs, develop or customize software solutions, and build APIs and services as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams, provide technical guidance to end users, resolve issues, and mentor teammates.
- Research new technologies and stay current with cloud computing and IT systems administration advancements.
Requirements
- At least three years of relevant experience and education in the required skill areas.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science is preferred.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with Linux system administration and containerization tools such as Docker.
- Ability to use source control tools such as Git or Subversion.
- Experience with cloud-based services including AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of network architecture, including VLANs and subnets, and ability to troubleshoot networking issues.
- Experience conducting security reviews of applications and infrastructure.
- Ability to analyze and solve technical problems, work in an engineering team, and mentor others.
- Preferred experience with Scrum, Lean, Agile, DevOps, ServiceNow, Cisco NSO, SD-WAN and Versa, Maven, Jenkins, REST, SOAP, Perl, Shell, or Bash.
- TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
