Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, maintenance, and deployment of complex Python-based GenAI platforms, applications, backend services, APIs, and supporting infrastructure.
- Define system architecture and Python-based solutions in collaboration with data science, technical, business, internal, and external stakeholders.
- Drive delivery of GenAI products and process improvements that provide commercial value across Citi business units.
- Resolve high-impact technical and business problems involving GenAI processes, system architecture, and industry standards.
- Establish Python coding standards, testing methodologies, debugging practices, and implementation strategies for enterprise-grade systems.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and collaborate with external vendors and startups on Python and GenAI technologies.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and support effective work allocation.
- Partner with Risk and Control teams on governance, risk management, standardization, monitoring, and tooling for Python-based GenAI systems.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software industry experience, with an emphasis on enterprise software development.
- At least 6 years of experience developing scalable Python-based AI platforms and applications using libraries such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, Pandas, NumPy, Prefect, Scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
- At least 5 years of experience delivering complex Python-based solutions and services into production.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Understanding of Generative AI systems, AIOps, and application monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience with cloud architectures and public cloud offerings.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI and machine learning technologies using Python.
- Experience with software development agents, CI/CD pipelines, software testing, and code reviews.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies, adjust priorities, influence engineering teams, and guide technology decisions.
- Financial industry experience is a significant advantage.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
