Base Salary

$142k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, maintenance, and deployment of complex Python-based GenAI platforms, applications, backend services, APIs, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Define system architecture and Python-based solutions in collaboration with data science, technical, business, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Drive delivery of GenAI products and process improvements that provide commercial value across Citi business units.
  • Resolve high-impact technical and business problems involving GenAI processes, system architecture, and industry standards.
  • Establish Python coding standards, testing methodologies, debugging practices, and implementation strategies for enterprise-grade systems.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and collaborate with external vendors and startups on Python and GenAI technologies.
  • Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and support effective work allocation.
  • Partner with Risk and Control teams on governance, risk management, standardization, monitoring, and tooling for Python-based GenAI systems.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of software industry experience, with an emphasis on enterprise software development.
  • At least 6 years of experience developing scalable Python-based AI platforms and applications using libraries such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, Pandas, NumPy, Prefect, Scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering complex Python-based solutions and services into production.
  • Experience managing and implementing successful projects of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Understanding of Generative AI systems, AIOps, and application monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience with cloud architectures and public cloud offerings.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI and machine learning technologies using Python.
  • Experience with software development agents, CI/CD pipelines, software testing, and code reviews.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and strategic decision-making skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, adjust priorities, influence engineering teams, and guide technology decisions.
  • Financial industry experience is a significant advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
