Base Salary
$148k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and implementation of significant platform capabilities.
- Develop cloud-native capabilities using open-source components and related tools.
- Scope tasks and set priorities for team members contributing to assigned objectives.
- Drive high-quality implementation and production practices, including monitoring, frequent releases, and reliable CI.
- Guide junior engineers and contribute to design reviews, roadmaps, user-facing feature prioritization, and team processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
- At least five years of experience developing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure production products and services in Go, Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Experience with cloud technologies or providers such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Azure, and tools such as GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, or Backstage.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design, with analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills for gathering requirements, defining problem scope, and documenting system designs.
- Preferred: experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, microservices, software delivery platforms, DevSecOps, continuous integration, release management, centralized developer platform teams, and developer experience.
