Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scripting routines supporting production and personalization workflows.
- Collaborate with operations and solutions teams to integrate software into production environments.
- Identify solutions that improve manufacturing processes.
- Develop Java Card applets meeting functional specifications and security requirements.
- Implement and validate APDU command processing for smart-card communication.
- Partner with security architects to align with ISO/IEC 7816, GlobalPlatform, EMV, and related standards.
- Optimize performance and memory usage in constrained embedded environments.
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to certification activities.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous development-process improvement.
- Travel and perform fieldwork, including possible international travel, as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C, C#, or Java.
- Understanding of Java and its limitations in Java Card.
- Hands-on experience with .NET, .NET Core, HTML, JSON, and XML.
- Familiarity with APDU protocols and card-reader communication.
- Experience with cryptographic libraries and secure coding practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio, VS Code, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with Jenkins and Robot Framework.
- Strong prioritization, organization, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field specializing in Embedded Systems.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Interest in applied cryptography and key management is desirable.
- Knowledge of RFID standards including ISO 7816, ISO 14443, and ISO 15693 is desirable.
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM is appreciated.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the hiring country and possess or be able to acquire a valid passport.
