Base Salary
$165k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical discovery sessions and deliver tailored product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers.
- Design, scope, manage, and document technical evaluations and proofs of concept in customer environments.
- Partner with Account Executives on technical sales strategies and serve as the technical subject matter expert throughout the sales cycle.
- Provide customer, market, and competitive feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams.
- Develop technical sales collateral, demo environments, presentations, and best-practice guides.
- Deliver technical training to the broader Sales organization.
- Travel to client sites and industry events as required.
- Follow Snowflake confidentiality and security standards and protect customer information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in the software industry.
- Deep technical understanding and practical experience with observability concepts including metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience selling to Developer, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering personas.
- Preferred experience in a fast-paced, high-growth Observability or Application Performance Monitoring company.
