Base Salary
$220k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work with customer business and technical teams to identify valuable use cases and translate broad requests into focused scopes, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy data integrations, business logic, APIs, applications, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Reconcile outputs against source data and business rules, evaluate model behavior, and validate accuracy, usability, and business value with users.
- Monitor deployments, resolve issues, document systems, and establish ongoing support models.
- Partner with account, product, and engineering teams to connect technical delivery to customer adoption and identify reusable patterns.
- Help establish engineering practices, delivery standards, and working relationships for the Forward Deployed Engineering team.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of personally shipping and maintaining production software.
- Ability to work independently across backend or application logic, data models, APIs, testing, debugging, reliability, permissions, and failure cases.
- Experience with Python and SQL; full-stack application development using TypeScript/React or comparable tools; and enterprise data and API integrations.
- Experience with applied AI or agent workflows with rigorous evaluation is useful, as is experience in manufacturing, quality, reliability, supply chain, or service operations.
- Ability to understand ambiguous customer problems, translate them into useful solutions, communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and take ownership for outcomes.
- Customer-facing software engineering or Forward Deployed Engineering experience is useful, but strong software engineers with meaningful manufacturing or industrial workflow experience may also qualify.
