Responsibilities
- Design, write, test, implement, and document solutions for assigned program modules.
- Collaborate with project teams and other software engineers to provide technical support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects in assigned IT systems and applications.
- Develop scalable applications using Python and/or Java, including API development, testing, debugging, code reviews, and implementation.
- Design data pipelines, develop SQL, manage data quality, and integrate data across systems and platforms.
- Deploy and support applications using cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, monitoring, and production support practices.
- Validate AI-generated code for accuracy, security, performance, and maintainability when using AI-powered development tools.
- Participate in technical reviews, uphold engineering standards, and mentor teammates through constructive feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience identifying program issues and developing appropriate solutions.
- Strong software engineering experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable applications.
- Strong programming experience using Python and/or Java.
- Experience with API development, microservices architecture, testing, debugging, code reviews, and coding best practices.
- Strong data engineering experience with SQL development, data pipeline design, data quality management, and multi-system data integration.
- Strong experience with cloud technologies, application deployment, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, monitoring, production support, and operational excellence.
- Preferred experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to collaborate, deliver reliable and maintainable code, participate in technical reviews, uphold engineering standards, and support team growth.
