Responsibilities
- Support and maintain backend security platforms used by SOC and security operations teams.
- Troubleshoot log ingestion, forwarders, collectors, integrations, and platform availability issues.
- Perform security platform patching, upgrades, scheduled changes, and routine maintenance.
- Support customer incidents involving degraded, unavailable, or incorrectly ingesting SIEM and security tooling.
- Onboard and maintain log sources across customer environments.
- Collaborate with SOC analysts, security engineers, and infrastructure teams to maintain platform health.
- Contribute to scripting and automation for reporting, health checks, and repetitive operational tasks.
- Develop capability across additional monitoring and security platforms.
Requirements
- Some hands-on experience with Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or another SIEM platform.
- Exposure to security engineering, SOC operations, platform support, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering.
- Understanding of log ingestion, forwarders, collectors, data onboarding, or integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, infrastructure, or security platforms.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Exposure to patching, upgrades, change management, or production-system maintenance.
- Interest in scripting and automation; Python, PowerShell, or API experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience with Tenable or LogicMonitor is advantageous.
- Strong willingness to learn and collaborate across multiple customer environments and security technologies.
- Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to hold an Australian Government Security Clearance.
