Base Salary
$114k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, optimize, troubleshoot, and performance-tune complex Tableau dashboards.
- Develop production BI solutions using Tableau dashboard embedding and packaged and un-packaged workbooks.
- Connect Tableau to data warehouses and multiple database platforms while working with varied data types and structures.
- Apply data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and live and extract-based data connections.
- Gather, analyze, and visualize large, diverse data sets to improve software applications and systems.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software development meets design constraints.
- Design, consume, and troubleshoot APIs and BI platform integrations.
- Validate data accuracy and dashboard functionality, usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Use Python and Alteryx for automation, data processing, and BI development.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, and validate outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Manage backlog, mentor developers, document technical solutions, and contribute reusable engineering practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Expert-level Tableau experience developing production BI solutions and complex dashboards.
- Experience with dashboard embedding, packaged and un-packaged Tableau workbooks, data warehouses, database platforms, data modeling, and live and extract connections.
- Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting APIs and BI platform integrations.
- Working experience with Python for automation, data processing, or BI development.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot and integrating AI-assisted development into team workflows.
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure, accessible, maintainable dashboards and visualizations.
- Experience validating data accuracy and dashboard functionality, usability, and performance.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are preferred.
