Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, enhance, and optimize embedded firmware for access control readers, hubs, and controllers.
- Collaborate with global firmware, hardware, backend, mobile, BSP, product, and product assurance teams.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high firmware quality standards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis on firmware and system-level issues.
- Support manufacturing and production validation by resolving firmware issues and assisting with firmware update pipelines.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of embedded firmware development experience with C.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, WebSocket, and TLS/SSL network protocols.
- Experience with microcontrollers, SoCs, embedded Linux, and RTOS.
- Experience with access control systems such as card readers, NFC, or mobile unlocking.
- Knowledge of Git version control.
- Preferred: Linux application development and OpenWRT or Yocto build systems.
- Preferred: Layer 2 networking, device-to-device communication, IoT and access control firmware security, secure boot, encrypted communication, and key management.
- Preferred: NFC, BLE, cryptographic algorithms, Golang, MCU architecture, GPIO, USB, UART, PWM, Flash, SPI, I²C, and open-source projects such as OpenWRT, ESP-IDF, or Zephyr.
