Responsibilities

  • Develop the REANA reproducible analysis platform for running containerised declarative analysis workflows.
  • Develop the LHCb Ntupling service for researchers to request custom open data.
  • Work across frontend and backend software engineering technologies.
  • Use container technologies and application deployment, monitoring, and security practices.
  • Collaborate with LHC experimental physics teams, external institutes, and open science infrastructure partners.
  • Perform standby duty and, when required, work nights, Sundays, and official holidays.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or an equivalent field of study.
  • Have no more than two years of professional experience since graduation by the application deadline.
  • Have experience with full-stack software development and frontend and backend technologies.
  • Have experience with container technologies and application deployment, monitoring, and security.
  • Have never held a CERN fellow or graduate contract before and be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
  • Be proficient in spoken and written English and committed to learning French.
  • Familiarity with computational research data analysis principles is preferred.
