Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug C++ applications for Windows and Linux.
- Design and implement services and components supporting edge-to-cloud integration.
- Evolve the REST-based service layer to decouple it from embedded and cloud runtimes.
- Support migration from Yocto/Linux embedded systems to cloud-native environments.
- Define and implement container-based and cloud-native deployment architectures.
- Support the team in resolving customer issues.
- Contribute to high-level design strategies for key projects and improve testability and test automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Science Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer developing C++ on Linux or Windows.
- Experience designing scalable, high-performance, highly available embedded or server applications.
- Experience developing client/server applications in C++, with desirable knowledge of C++20, Boost, and STL.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems, inter-process communication, and multithreaded applications.
- Experience with embedded systems and cross-platform development.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or OpenStack.
- Familiarity with database systems and languages, networking protocols and tools, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Experience with testability, test automation, and BDD.
- Familiarity with Yocto, containers, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluent English.
