Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for shared AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, balancing reliability, security, developer experience, and cost.
- Lead cross-team infrastructure initiatives from design through rollout and operation, especially for GPU workloads.
- Evolve Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, identity, and infrastructure provisioning for varied workloads.
- Build reusable Terraform patterns and self-service infrastructure tooling.
- Improve deployment and operational practices, including GitOps, observability, capacity planning, incident response, and recovery.
- Use production signals and developer feedback to identify platform friction and measure improvements.
- Support GPU infrastructure and broader compute platforms, sunset legacy infrastructure, and reduce operational toil.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, implementation, and incidents.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and operating Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure in production.
- Familiarity with GPU workloads and orchestration is preferred.
- Strong software engineering skills using Go, Python, or a similar language to build maintainable tools and automation.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, and with designing systems relied upon by other engineering teams.
- Track record of leading complex technical work across teams, including architecture, delivery, and operational follow-through.
- Strong judgment across distributed systems, networking, security, reliability, and cloud cost trade-offs.
- Clear communication and the ability to align teams around practical technical direction.
