Base Salary
$126k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve automation for efficient and consistent software builds and deployments.
- Guide development teams in improving the performance and operability of their solutions.
- Develop or configure tools for monitoring, alerting, logging, and visualization.
- Establish key performance indicators and other metrics for the development process.
- Promote DevOps principles and culture across the software engineering organization.
- Configure development tooling and enhance continuous integration pipelines.
- Support performance monitoring, maintenance, application lifecycle management, and the software development, testing, and deployment cycle.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve challenges using varied techniques.
- Expertise with one or more build systems such as CMake, Bazel, Buck, Ninja, or Meson; CMake is preferred.
- Expertise writing automation with multiple scripting or programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Ruby, Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
- Expertise developing on Linux-based operating systems.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 5+ years of software-industry experience; an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience will also be considered.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Mesos, AWS ECS, or Azure Container Instances.
- Preferred experience administering critical services including GitHub, Artifactory, or Nexus.
- Preferred experience with Grafana, CloudWatch, New Relic, Google Cloud Operations, or Splunk.
- Preferred experience with TeamCity, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Preferred experience managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform or Ansible using infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code.
- Familiarity with DO-178C, Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification.
Benefits
- Target base pay is $125,600-$202,800 per year, plus Restricted Stock Units; compensation depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
