Responsibilities
- Develop and debug the autonomous software stack on embedded compute platforms.
- Design, develop, and port autonomous software modules across different system-on-chip platforms.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers to optimize perception models for embedded performance.
- Interface with automotive middleware and communication protocols including IPC, Ethernet, and DDS.
- Support vehicle operations and SIL and HIL setups.
- Bring up new embedded hardware and software with machine learning, vehicle applications, and Vehicle OS engineers.
- Use AI-accelerated development tools and workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with C/C++ in POSIX and RTOS environments.
- Direct experience with automotive SoCs such as NVIDIA Orin or Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride, or similar platforms.
- Strong low-level understanding of hardware accelerators, including encoders, DSPs, and GPUs.
- Deep knowledge of operating systems, specifically QNX and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, hardware debuggers, and flashing interfaces.
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving systems is preferred.
- Machine learning experience, ideally in perception, is preferred.
- Full product-cycle experience from first prototype to series production is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASIL, or MISRA C++ is preferred.
