Base Salary
$180k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own projects and features from requirements through delivery.
- Build and deploy robust server-side features using Java, MySQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Improve backend architecture to support scale and customer growth.
- Make systems architecture and technical decisions for cloud-based products.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Designers to deliver features within technical constraints.
- Write technical documentation, test new technologies, and improve engineering practices.
- Contribute to engineering culture, code quality, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience using Java, .NET, or other server-side languages in production.
- Deep understanding of databases, automated testing, and Agile development.
- Proficiency building and managing RESTful APIs.
- Deep experience designing and building infrastructure for complex cloud-based software applications.
- Knowledge of or experience with microservices architecture.
- Ability to write clean code, concise technical documentation, and thoroughly test software.
- Experience with AWS or Azure is preferred.
- Experience working with JavaScript and ReactJS is a plus.
- Ability to support and develop more junior engineers and collaborate effectively across teams.
