Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and adopt AI-powered tools for development and operations processes.
- Collaborate with weather scientists, engineers, and Spacecraft Mission Operations Engineers to improve performance, reliability, scale, security, and cost.
- Evolve and maintain adaptive cloud infrastructure for business growth.
- Build self-service platforms for scientists and developers.
- Support HPC workloads alongside cloud-native Kubernetes platforms.
- Introduce and integrate MLOps practices for GPU-based model deployment on Kubernetes.
- Participate in DevOps on-call shifts to maintain production availability.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as a Platform, DevOps, or SRE Engineer in a containerized cloud environment.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Crossplane.
- Experience in fast-growing cloud-native startup or scale-up environments.
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Copilot; agentic workflow experience is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes deployment methodologies, and customized monitoring systems.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, and Go.
- Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with HPC or scientific computing, including Slurm, AWS ParallelCluster, or Azure CycleCloud, is a bonus.
- Familiarity with parallel filesystems such as Lustre or NFS is a bonus.
