Base Salary
$207k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives to mitigate and remediate security risk across the organization.
- Implement and instrument security controls and tooling across cloud infrastructure.
- Build security tooling and automate repetitive tasks through scripting and coding.
- Use Terraform to deploy security baseline controls, conduct code reviews, and recommend security improvements.
- Research and advocate for technologies, architectures, and security products that address evolving threat vectors.
- Lead the applied cryptography function covering PKI, key lifecycle management, and secrets management.
- Operate Tier 0 production systems with rotational on-call and incident response responsibilities.
- Define, document, and implement security standards and procedures for secure cloud infrastructure operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in security engineering building, operating, and architecting homegrown and vendor solutions.
- Strong understanding of computer engineering with a focus on security, infrastructure, platforms, IAM, applications, cloud, containers, networking, reliability, and database architecture.
- Demonstrable knowledge of network architecture, web application security, and multi-tier web application architectures.
- Experience operating infrastructure at scale using configuration management and automation.
- Experience operating customer- and revenue-impacting Tier 0 production systems.
- Professional knowledge of Golang, Java, or other higher-level object-oriented programming languages.
- Professional experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD toolsets.
- Expertise in two or three security engineering domains such as applied cryptography, IAM, network security, vulnerability management, or detection and response engineering is preferred.
- Experience with hybrid environments and public cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure is preferred.
- Strong foundation in data security, encryption standards, key management, PKI, and secrets lifecycle management is preferred.
- Familiarity with information security principles and infrastructure security best practices is preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
