Responsibilities
- Build and maintain PPRO’s main payment processing engine exposed through the PPRO API.
- Own products and services end to end, from design through production rollout.
- Develop scalable, reliable, secure, cost-efficient, and auditable payment processing products.
- Operate services using a “you build it, you run it” approach and potentially participate in on-call rotations.
- Collaborate through pair programming, asynchronous ADRs and RFCs, knowledge sharing, and brainstorming.
- Share knowledge and help teams and stakeholders improve engineering practices.
Requirements
- Experience designing and building scalable products and services.
- Knowledge and experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, AWS, EKS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, OpenSearch, event-driven microservice architecture, Datadog, and Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break complex problems into manageable deliverables.
- Collaborative, pragmatic, results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent writing and drawing skills for communicating ideas and problem overviews.
- Working proficiency in English.
- Payments industry experience is a plus.
- Hands-on AI experience as a software engineer is welcome.
