Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into technical designs, and prepare technical specification documents.
- Design, configure, test, and govern medium- and low-complexity SAP build items and solutions.
- Provide SAP ABAP production support, including incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and code optimization.
- Collaborate with architects, technical SMEs, business teams, production support, SAP, and delivery managers to develop supportable SAP solutions.
- Debug complex issues, resolve defects, support critical business applications, and ensure system stability and SLA compliance.
- Participate in testing activities, provide adequate automation coverage, and follow internal SAP release guidelines.
- Mentor and upskill engineering teams across different crews.
- Manage conflicts, issues, risks, scope alignment, design quality, and continuous process improvement.
- Participate in Agile events, planning sessions, estimation, design-option analysis, and work breakdown.
- Adhere to coding, testing, documentation, conduct, regulatory, and internal bank policy requirements.
Requirements
- 9–12 years of experience in SAP ABAP production support, including incident management, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and code optimization.
- Proficiency in OOABAP, ABAP on HANA, CDS, OData, RAP, ABAP 7.5+, SOA services, and parallel processing.
- Strong knowledge of OOABAP design principles.
- Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, defect resolution, ABAP Unit Testing, TDD, and production monitoring.
- Experience supporting critical business applications, ensuring system stability, meeting SLAs, and improving processes.
- Exposure to abapGit.
- Knowledge of SAP Business Partner, SAP Banking Services, SAP CRM, and the BDT Framework is preferred.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or information systems from an accredited university.
