Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software for financial processes.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
- Build features and products using Go, Python, and SQL.
- Develop financial reports, automations, reconciliation workflows, and auditable systems.
- Build and scale distributed architecture and commercial APIs and web applications.
- Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
- Provide software systems support and consulting to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure features meet reporting, compliance, coding, design, and industry standards.
- Develop metrics to drive continuous improvement and production monitoring.
- Mentor engineering teammates and help shape technical direction.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Experience building and serving APIs using Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
- Experience bringing forward ideas and building consensus on technical direction.
- Required experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
- Preferred understanding of reconciliation, financial reporting, compliance, banking, or financial institutions.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, and Go.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and commercial APIs and web applications.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog for production monitoring and alerting.
- Familiarity with containerized microservice architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS.
