Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, and enhance Linux-based software tools and systems for the jet engine testing Data Acquisition and Control System.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and optimize DACS performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and engineering leadership to deliver features and integrate instrumentation, measurement equipment, and test-facility hardware.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level software engineers.
- Develop Linux software that connects and communicates with modern measurement hardware.
- Maintain software architecture, design, and system-configuration documentation and enforce coding, testing, and deployment best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in computer programming or a similar industry, or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience with C, C++, LabVIEW, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with Bash, Make, CMake, and Git.
- Experience developing for the Linux operating system.
- Comfort working with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and/or mechanical drawings.
- Ability or experience with electro-mechanical systems and logic controllers or similar programmable computer devices.
- Experience in structured programming, controls, data acquisition, and/or jet engine testing is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, valid passport, and US Person status.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
