Base Salary
$152k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance networking code for the Zscaler Client Connector, predominantly using Rust.
- Build solid, testable, and well-documented foundations across multiple desktop platforms.
- Debug complex network-related problems and implement solutions using systems programming and security protocols.
- Contribute significantly to the design and implementation of major development projects.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams on customer-impacting features.
- Address scale, quality, performance, and security challenges in a large global deployment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience, including experience with languages such as C++.
- At least 3 years of Rust coding experience, particularly in systems programming and asynchronous frameworks such as Tokio and Reqwest.
- Deep networking experience, particularly with tunneling applications and IPv4/IPv6 transport mechanisms.
- Experience with system programming concepts including virtual memory, multithreading, process lifecycle, kernel programming, and system APIs.
- Curiosity about AI tools and a history of integrating new technologies into daily workflows.
- Preferred experience with AI technologies and AI coding tools across the software development life cycle.
- Preferred cross-platform development experience with macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android.
- Preferred software development experience with Swift and Objective-C.
