Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in strategic software solution design and hands-on development across varied technologies and languages.
- Collaborate with AI engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate, plan, influence, develop, and deliver software solutions.
- Recommend technical improvements to systems, processes, infrastructure, installations, and machines.
- Conceptualize products and services using data to inform design ideas and decisions.
- Maintain a software development roadmap and prioritize work against business requirements.
- Deliver small- and medium-scale projects within an established program management plan.
- Monitor, identify, and correct complex software defects.
- Adopt emerging AI and agentic patterns and translate them into scalable product capabilities.
Requirements
- Advanced, demonstrated experience designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining software solutions across a broad range of technologies.
- Experience with software design patterns and architectural integration patterns.
- Experience implementing software solutions incorporating AI technologies.
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale, performant, loosely coupled service-oriented architectures.
- Hands-on full-stack experience with Python, JavaScript, and React.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Preferred expertise with AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, and Route 53.
- Preferred experience implementing AI agent-based solutions and using AI large language models in development.
- Preferred familiarity with John Deere dealer-channel applications and related business processes.
- Preferred experience building reusable and scalable platform capabilities.
