Responsibilities
- Implement FX trading systems and technology solutions that benefit the business.
- Drive system architecture, development, quality improvements, and legacy-system modernization.
- Work directly with FX trading and quantitative teams and end users.
- Troubleshoot issues across software, hardware, and network systems.
- Define and implement departmental engineering best practices and processes.
- Maintain procedures, supporting documentation, and compliance with Citi policies.
- Monitor industry trends and leverage appropriate new technologies.
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on software engineering experience building new systems, replacing legacy systems, and renovating existing systems.
- Proven understanding of foreign exchange is highly preferred.
- Understanding of ultra-low-latency development practices.
- Knowledge of software, hardware, and network systems sufficient to define solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to deeply analyze products and codebases and provide detailed, constructive technical feedback.
- Exceptional communication skills and confidence working with teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Financial-sector experience is not required; relevant experience from any industry may be considered.
