Responsibilities
- Develop embedded C/C++ firmware for intelligent lighting and guest-room control systems.
- Design and test firmware for dimmers, sensors, relays, touch panels, smart thermostats, HVAC, shading, and other in-room products.
- Integrate DALI, DMX, RS-485, Modbus, and 0-10V communication interfaces with room and building systems.
- Perform board bring-up, hardware validation, firmware debugging, and hardware troubleshooting using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Develop touch-based user interfaces and optimize firmware for efficiency and real-time processing in resource-constrained environments.
- Work with Silicon Labs microcontrollers, Zigbee stacks, Atmel touch-enabled microcontrollers, and cloud voice platforms such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
- Author detailed design documentation, installation manuals, and test procedures.
- Implement comprehensive testing and ensure products meet performance, security, safety, EMI, reliability, UL, FCC, and CE requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technologies, or Computer Science.
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded firmware and hardware.
- Experience with microcontrollers such as STM32, NXP, or Silicon Labs and embedded C/C++.
- Familiarity with guest-room control systems and lighting-control protocols such as DALI, DMX, and 0-10V is an asset.
- Experience with low-voltage systems and 24VDC and 120/277VAC interfaces.
- Ability to debug hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Understanding of microcontrollers, RTOS, and resource-constrained environments.
- Embedded Linux knowledge is an asset.
- Familiarity with Zigbee stacks such as EmberZNet PRO and Atmel touch-enabled microcontrollers is beneficial.
