Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and data pipelines for ingesting, processing, storing, and serving sensor datasets.
- Develop reliable and scalable systems using Python and AWS cloud services.
- Build APIs, data services, and tooling for efficient access to autonomous vehicle data.
- Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Own production services and participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Optimize storage, compute, and data movement costs while maintaining performance and availability.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Support CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence across the platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least three years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong professional software development experience in Python.
- Experience building and operating backend services, distributed systems, or large-scale data platforms.
- Professional experience with AWS and deploying applications to Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestrators.
- Experience designing data pipelines, ETL systems, or data processing frameworks.
- Experience developing containerized applications, backend microservices, and event-driven systems or data pipelines.
- Ability to drive projects from design through production operations.
- Experience building distributed systems or cloud-based data platforms processing large-scale datasets is preferred.
- Experience in the autonomous driving industry, particularly backend and cloud development, is preferred.
