Base Salary
$150k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write software to automate application deployment, infrastructure configuration, and management of critical services such as databases.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Linux production environments as an on-call engineer.
- Triage operational issues, participate in post-mortems, and implement reliability improvements.
- Design, implement, and deploy internal tools and services that improve engineering productivity and operational ownership.
- Help manage server hardware in physical data centers, including occasional onsite projects.
- Contribute to decisions about the evolution of the company’s infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or an Engineering field.
- Experience running and troubleshooting modern Linux systems and services in production.
- At least 2 years of experience developing reliable, production-grade software in Java, Go, or similar languages.
- Proficiency with at least one infrastructure automation technology such as Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience designing and deploying complex, mission-critical distributed systems.
- Strong critical-thinking and communication skills, with an interest in learning from and educating peers.
